Timescapes is a 3D printed pavilion that commemorates the 10th Anniversary of the Singapore University of Technology and Design. It preserves and exhibits the university’s most significant innovations and milestones over the past decade, with a design that coordinates form and materials to reflect the ambitious and adventurous spirit of the young university.

The plot is located on the edge of the village, along a ridge path overlooking the “Eau d’Heure” valley. It is set along a not very dense, but nevertheless very well laid out street. The new house that is built seeks to maintain a privileged relationship with the landscape that will give the rooms all their qualities. The lengthwise layout from the street is in line with the slope and oriented on the course of the sun. From the street, it leaves a wide view of the landscape open.

On the west side of the Place Hermann-Dumont, a complex of 3 houses, now protected, reflects an architectural project from the beginning of the 20th century. One of the three houses is located on the fold where the square meets the street. The Brussels typology then adapts to the contingencies of a corner plot. Today, the project is the starting point for a new reflection on living spaces. The living space is intended to have a ‘variable geometry’, allowing flexibility between common and private spaces, making it possible for several inhabitants to live together – a ‘kangaroo’ dwelling.

Liezele, a small hamlet 30 minutes south of Antwerp, is a fertile area where small agricultural farmsteads are traditionally growing asparagus, were green fields, small streams, aligned with rows of willow- or poplar trees are defining the structure and mood of this beautiful rural Flemish landscape.

Valetta House / Office S&M

A family with four young girls, commissioned Office S&M to refurbish and extend their home, in order to create more living space, so that each child had their own space in the house. The narrow existing plan meant we had to be creative with the space. By removing some walls, opening up internal windows, and using light wells, we have been able to bring light deeper into the spaces.
