Modern Urban Apartment in Tel Aviv / Studio Perri Interior Design

A young couple moved from central tel aviv to a bigger and quieter apartment in north tel aviv and invited Studio PERRI to plan and design their new home.  The apartment is 135 m² in size and includes a living room, kitchen, dining area, balcony, 4 rooms, 2 bathrooms, storage room and a small room foe the cats.  Before the renovation The apartment was divided into two units – a large apartment and a separate small unit. The building is old from the 70’s and the apartment had never been renovated before. The tenants dreamt of a spacious and full of light apartment that would provide an accurate response to their needs.  The guidelines were to create a modern and minimalist design that balances beauty and functionality.

Paddock House / Archterra Architects

Paddock house sits exposed cross-slope, in a field of rye grass amongst grazing cattle and kangaroos with distant valley views to the north. The house connects to these views via a series of framed apertures in the volume of the house.

A5 House / Raz Melamed architects

The owners of this 70-square-meters studio apartment wished to create an modern getaway for themselves in the historic Neve Tzedek neighborhood in Tel Aviv. The architect Raz Melamed was chosen for the project. Melamed had previous experience with refurbishing and modernizing historic properties in the neighboring ancient city of Jaffa, but the project in Neve Tzedek presented a whole new set of challenges. However, within a few months of hard labored work alongside creative engineer Buki Snir and contractor Elad Cohen, Melamed succeeded in revealing the property’s hidden promise and giving it new life.

Yin Residence / TACK architects

Located directly south of Omaha’s downtown within a historically noted neighborhood is a private residence. This pushed the design not to be seen as contemporaneous with the surrounding historical buildings, but rather distinguish itself as a new prototype for residential construction in the neighborhood.

Tūranga Christchurch Central Library / SHL

Early in the design process, the architects collaborated with Matapopore Charitable Trust, an organization whose objective is to ensure the values, aspirations and narratives of the local Ngāi Tūāhuriri people are realised throughout the recovery of Christchurch. Their influence on the design of the building is substantial—from building materials to physical orientation, there is a rich tapestry of ancestry, traditional knowledge, and culture woven throughout Tūranga.

Ibis hotels – New concept / FGMF Arquitetos

FGMF Arquitetos, led by the trio Fernando Forte, Lourenço Gimenes and Rodrigo Marcondes Ferraz, went to AccorHotels headquarters in Paris to present its new project, winner of the Americas stage of a global contest organized by AccorHotels’ Design area to renovate ibis hotels. In addition to the design created by FGMF, two other layouts, one by Innocad (Europe) and one by Soda (Asia) were also selected, as part of the brand’s new flexible, personalized approach to turn its hotels into vibrant spaces. The concepts presented by these firms may be used by ibis hotel worldwide, instead of following a single standard as they have done until now.

The words “Behind the Tree” was the starting point for the house, which we thought should include this tree as a front host at the entrance of the house, but in a framed and protected manner, as a protagonist, not only for the visitor or passerby, but also for the interior and the daily life of the inhabitants.
