Competition: win a book that showcases futuristic homes

Dezeen is giving five readers the chance to win a copy of Inside Utopia, a book celebrating some of the most innovative architecture and interior design projects from the mid-20th century.

Inside Utopia

Inside Utopia: Visionary Interiors and Futuristic Homes uses colour photography to showcase a range of residences that remain as radical as they were when first completed.

Containing over 300 pages, the hardback book explores these particular homes and interiors because hugely influential, despite being unusual.

Projects highlighted include Xavier Corbero’s maze-like estate in Barcelona, which features concrete rooms with huge arched windows and complex spiral staircases, and Charles and Ray Eames’ modernist home in California, which combines double-height spaces with views of the Pacific Ocean.

The title also hones in on the stripy surfaces of architect Étienne Fromanger’s colourful La Renardiere residence, as well as the circular openings inside Antti Lovag’s Palais Bulles, which boasts a bizarre curvaceous facade.
