The brief for House in Silhouette was for a large family home on a sloping 1.6 acre site in Berwick. As Melbourne’s suburbs have grown outward, Berwick now sits on the edge of the city. Not rural, yet not suburban, the subject site is a low density lot, suitable for an equestrian enthusiast or a hobby farmer.

The Porte de Montmartre neighborhood is located in the northwest part of the 18th arrondissement of Paris, bordering the town of Saint-Ouen. It comprises one of the priority sites in the extensive Urban Renewal project undertaken by the city of Paris in its effort to increase engagement and set into motion a real process of change.

Esi Burger / Admun Studio

Esi burger is a cozy intimate restaurant located on Sohrevardi Street in Tehran, very close to people’s gathering space in Palizi square. Before Admun Studio was commissioned to design this project the place had been used as a branch of quite a well-known chain restaurant and in spite of being in a crowded neighborhood it could not attract enough customers and this made us wonder what was going on in nearby juice shops and small restaurants surrounding Palizi square that attracted people from different parts of Tehran.

Bitwise Headquarters / ASWA

ASWA search for the balance between the project’s objectives and limitations into the creation of the innovative looking geometry for Bitwise Headquarters, in Samutprakarn, Thailand. Bitwise is a manufacturer of air conditioners whose long track record and experience in the industry in Thailand. Their Headquarters design was realized from the conceptual organization’s image and identity.

Concept outline / arrangement plan. Firstly, pillars and beams are set like a jungle gym (2.5m×1.6m at regular intervals horizontally, depth 5 squares×width 3 squares, 2 layers), to the extent that the whole site is filled with them. The simple, durable grid design is one of the concepts, and it lead to the plan to be organized among the difficult requirements, with expanding the floor space as long as the legal terms and costs were allowed.

PROJECT #3  is a bungalow in an exclusive residential enclave of 106 semi-detached houses and 3 bungalows in Singapore. The bungalow was envisioned, in the Master Plan, as 1 of the 2 buildings that provide visual ‘break’ to a group of semi-detached houses strung together like a ‘necklace’.

January 2019 marks the opening of SDE4, an inventive educational architecture developed by the School of Design and Environment at the National University of Singapore, the institutional organization that promotes design, sustainability and education in South East Asia. SDE4 is the first new-build net-zero energy building in Singapore and it is designed as a 8,500-square-metre, six-storey, multi-disciplinary space by Serie + Multiply Architects with Surbana Jurong.

The family resettles their home from the city centre to the outskirt of Bangkok. By the limitation of their existing home as city row house, it’s no longer to accommodate seven family members – grandmother, mother and her five children – becoming to early age of working generation.
