With pressure of environment and change of temperature, the substance can be transformed into different states: static solid state, fluent liquid state and gaseous state which is both static and fluent. This is not the opening remark of a physics class. It is the start of design of a brand-new office of Jing He Science, a technology company which sells high-tech gas.
In this design, we aim to use visual inertia to “get rid of” gravity, and break through the shackles of the earth’s gravity to make the marble, which was originally heavy under people’s inertial thinking, suspend in space.
Whenever we take on a design project, we want to find a deeper space content beyond form and function, which I call the spirit of space. In our opinion, she is the core of space, the source of soul and a source of vitality and tension. she must be transformed into a “spatial prototype” when she needs to be perceived by body and perception, which fuses functions and forms to form physical space.
Eyes of time
Despite several manuscripts, the space in the center for only one person has not changed. It looks like a monument, and it make surrounding objects become meaningful. Inside the 1 m2 room called ‘Moment’, there will be an exhibition about Mur Mur Lab and Unibrown. We will start a discussion of the relationship between coffee, construction and the flowing of the space, and it is also about connection between the ‘time’ and ‘personal identity’. Through the folds that looks like the curtain of veil, we often watch the looming crowd, the spread of the terrace and the greenery outside the window. The noise and jolly time belong to the outside world, but the quietness and serenity belongs to inside world, like being on the mountaintop.
The Fourth Teaching Building（Jeanswest） of Tsinghua University, was completed and delivered in September in 1990. There are 4-story large classrooms on its west side which can hold 70 people, and 5-story public areas in the east. The mainstream of people is led by the walking stairs in the east as the major vertical traffic.
Design Concept – Green life • blending into nature
Yanqing District is located about 75 km north-west of Beijing. It is home to the popular Badaling section of the Great Wall. It is not only rich in historical sites and natural landscape but also the outdoor attractions. The district will host the International Horticultural Expo in 2019 and Winter Olympics in 2022. It is a popular destination for all kinds of travelers.
In extreme cutbacks, it’s easier to focus on a small number of objects, an environment that calms the mind and sharpens the senses. The pure white volume creates a floating tea space with a free spirit. This is a brand new conceptualization attempt. The designer tries to discuss the psychological state of tea guests from four different dimensions: volume, color, space and environment, so as to create more communication possibilities by enriching the multi-dimensional experience of space.
Opportunity And Imagination
The project is located at Haiya Mage Mall in Bao’an, Shenzhen.
As such a drawer concept retail is built within such large business volumes, the comparison between the beverage store and the mall, somehow forms a relatively unitary parasitic and contrasting relationship.
As a commonly used building material, wood is widely selected for architectural, interior and landscape spaces. Wood pattern always give people the sense of warmth and comfort. Hence, the designers have decided to pay a tribute to this traditionally used material, wood with a modern twist.
