The mountain chalet Na Kukačkách by edit! architects demonstrates a contemporary yet sensitive approach to regional Krkonoše Mountains architecture. While the exterior respects the traditional character of mountain buildings with a stone plinth and timber cladding, the project introduces a completely new spatial and functional arrangement of the interior.
The ReGreeneration project, led by C40 Cities and supported by ARUP, Placemaking Europe, Climato Sfera, Inetum, and many others, operates at the intersection of urban ecology, public health, infrastructure, and neighborhood-scale design. When the client approached HVD to help source their dream home in Islington, it became obvious that this house was the perfect fit. The client was drawn to pretty Georgian architecture but was advised that a typical listed Islington townhouse would present significant constraints when attempting to achieve their desired open-plan layout. This non-listed property, with the external façade of a Georgian townhouse, therefore offered the perfect solution.
