Grande House is an integral refurbishment of a 400m2 house located on an estate in Madrid where it is easy to find wild animals that share with the house the environment with autochthonous vegetation in which holm oaks and junipers define the landscape. The restoration of the old house has been carried out with the purpose of enjoying it with family and friends, that idea was the one transmitted by its owners as a fundamental goal. Working with them very involved, we have managed among all of it; the desire materializes in a sincere and relaxed house that integrates into the natural environment that surrounds it.

On August 12, 1833, the Town of Chicago had roughly 200 inhabitants. Four years later, in 1837, it was upgraded to The City of Chicago – an interesting fact given that there are still 19 incorporated towns in Illinois. The Great Chicago Fire of 1871 killed 300 people, destroyed about 3.3 square miles (9 km2), and left more than 100,000 residents homeless. However, by that time Chicago had become the world’s fastest-growing city and its population had risen over 300,000 inhabitants. The fire meant these ambitious citizens had to start again.
