‘one thousand museum’, zaha hadid’s first and only residential skyscraper in the united states, has announced its completion. the 62-story tower, with 84 half-and full-floor residences, houses a wealth of luxury amenities including a multimedia theater, an aquatic center with indoor pool, and even a private vault. the project takes its name from its location opposite museum park, and offers views across biscayne bay towards miami beach.

in august 2015, construction work began on zaha hadid’s design with 10,000 cubic yards of concrete poured to create the foundation. on average, between august 2016 and december 2017 one floor was poured and completed every eight days. one thousand museum topped out in early 2018, with a private helipad topping the 709 foot tall (216m) structure. now, the tower has received its TCO (temporary certificate of occupancy), meaning that it is one step closer to officially welcoming residents.
