The project is located north of Kangbashi No. 9 Primary School in Kangbashi District, Ordos City. The west side is Ordos Applied Technology College, and the north side is a natural red sandstone slope. There are dense schools and residential areas around the project, and there is a lack of leisure activity venues nearby. The design team strives to utilize the existing resources of the site, combine environmental characteristics, and take nature, sustainability, and national fitness as the core concepts. With the help of large-scale landscape texture, they create a landscape-oriented, functional, evolutionary, participatory, and high-quality spatial form, and endow it with sports concepts to provide a rich, healthy, and natural life experience for the city.

MONOLOGO (Monong Coffee) is located in the industrial landscape protection area of ​​Beijing’s 751 Park. This site includes a furnace tank area on the south side of the original 751 plant which has been wholly preserved, while a vast open space spreads between the west side and the main road cutting through the park. The core part of the site is a factory building with a concrete frame structure dating back to the 1970s. Three imposing furnace tanks are preserved in the center of the site. Two yellow and black steel structures were added to the south, east and west corners of the plant on two separate occasions. Our renovation project should be counted as the fourth “extension” of the site. We hope that memories of former interventions may be fully preserved, and through this project, they will eventually be connected into a cohesive narrative.

The Origin of M2 – M2 Art Centre is a multifunctional art space located in Hangzhou, which originated from a wedding dress showroom. The initial function setting of the space triggered a reflection on women and their choices in marriage and relationships: Marriage is no longer a default option for everyone in contemporary society but rather a rational choice for individuals to grasp their own lives. Therefore, can a contemporary commercial exhibition space be expanded into a mind-body journey with some psychic touch, providing an opportunity for introspection and contemplation of life before the wedding moment? Can a space imbued with profound meaning serve as a versatile venue in the city, hosting various artistic and design activities? The design team SpActrum and the owner of M2 embarked on an unusual exploration together.

Apart from the literal meaning, BONELESS also refers to a skateboard trick where you grab the middle of the board with your hand, plant one foot on the ground to pop the board up, and then land back on the ground with both feet on the board. This trick, representing the attitude of free will, is interspersed in the brand value and its design.

The Xun Pavilion is designed as a wedding venue, situated on the site of an ancient city gate in Shenyang, which is now part of the city’s core area. Surrounded by commercial buildings from different eras and a busy main road, the site, like many in the city centers of China, lacks the pure ceremonial atmosphere that weddings often require.

The Planning Exhibition Center of Liangjiang Collaborative Innovation Zone is located in the south of the Innovation Zone and to the west of Huanhu Road. It is designed to cover an area of around 16,670 square meters. The plot is a hillock, which is at a high point of the Innovation Zone’s 6.8-square-kilometer core area. To the east of the site is a cliff, below which there lies Mingyue Lake and its surrounding ecological belt. Enveloped in a natural environment, the site is not close to municipal roads. Looking into the distance from the top of the hill, visitors will capture a faint view of Longxing Ancient Town.

Location – The project is located on the west of Sports North Street, north of Gucheng East Road, east of Shengli North Street, and south of the south bank of Hutuo River, in Shijia zhuang City, Hebei Province, with a total land area of 5.53 square kilometers. Currently, this district is mainly occupied by small-scale industrial and trade logistics land. It has a chaotic urban image, with low efficiency of land utilization, meanwhile, there is an abundant available land resource to develop. Taiping River Urban District is one of the six major urban renewal districts in Shijiazhuang and is planned to be positioned as the starting area, demonstration area, and leading area for the development of the river. In the future layout, there will be waterfront features of public culture, commercial entertainment, leisure and holiday facilities, and high-quality living communities. As the first project in the Taiping River Urban District, the main function of the Exhibition Centre is to display the planning and culture of this area. Located at the southeast corner of the junction of Shengli Street and Taiping River, the Exhibition Centre is in a very special position, in front of which, Hutuo River the mother river of Shijiazhuang meets with its branch Taiping River. On the north bank of the Hutuo River is Zhengding Ancient City. It has over 1,600 years of history, and the extant rampart is the remainder from Ming Dynasty, with 8,106 meters in length.
