Case Study – Two-Story Primary School Campus
Our reference project is a two-story primary school designed for 600 students on a suburban campus site. The ground floor contains the main administration block, library, gymnasium, and a central covered courtyard. Classroom wings extend from the courtyard on both sides, creating a sheltered outdoor learning environment at the heart of the campus. Upper floors house additional classrooms, science laboratories, and specialist teaching rooms.
The DWG file provides a complete ground floor plan with labeled room types, gridlines, and site boundary. The layout follows universal design principles to ensure full accessibility for students and staff with mobility requirements.
Classroom Module Design
The standard classroom module in this CAD set measures 8 by 9 meters, providing adequate space for 30 students with flexible furniture arrangements. Each classroom has a built-in storage wall, a display board wall, and a window wall oriented to maximize natural daylighting while avoiding direct glare on whiteboards and screens. The module is designed to be mirrored, stacked, and repeated across different wing configurations.
Because the classroom is a standard reusable CAD block, you can quickly populate entire classroom wings simply by inserting and arraying the module. Doors, windows, and internal partitions are all drawn on separate layers for easy modification.
Gymnasium and Assembly Hall Layout
The gymnasium in the reference school is a double-height volume with retractable seating that allows the space to double as an assembly hall. The CAD file shows the gymnasium floor plan with sports court markings, equipment storage areas, changing rooms, and a direct link to the outdoor play area. The structural grid over the gymnasium uses a long-span roof system that eliminates internal columns and maximizes usable floor area.
Library and Administration Areas
The school library is positioned near the main entrance to encourage community use outside of school hours. The CAD layout shows reading zones, shelving modules, a computer area, and a study room suitable for small group work. The administration block is located adjacent to the main entrance with direct visual control of the arrival zone, supporting safety and supervision requirements.
