The project is a development of vertical housing, deployed with three buildings in a total extension of 10,126m2. A fundamental part of the project has to do with the terrain, because it conserves a canyon with a significant density of trees and plants, so that 80% of the land is destined for green areas and open space, this represents a privilege, given its urban condition.

The History of a Pavilion
For 7 years, once a year, the construction of an unprecedented place has been celebrated in Santiago de Chile. These places come and they go. Truckloads of dirt, bundles of wicker, live corn plants enter and leave the park Parque Araucano… Nobody knows exactly what is hatching but it is certain that once again the park will surprise the visitors with something new.

Between the slopes of the San Cristóbal hill and the Mapocho river lays the emblematic Bellavista neighbourhood. Between heritage houses and cites and continuous facades, there is a void within the block on the street Mallincrodt. This is a result of a fire that made the old San Ginés theatre of the Sáenz family disappear. As a cause of the event, the owners find it necessary to re-build the theatre with more force and with an integral vision, relating it directly to the neighbourhood and its people.

The weather is strong, it dominates jeju life, it is very windy quite often, and weather changes instantaneously.  The basalt rocks are everywhere, demarcating fields, and individual houses. The orum, which is like a little hill, is everywhere, more than 350 of them in jeju island. It creates a scene. The island is sort of an exotica among Koreans, weather and vegetation reminds them of tropics. In the past, it was home for many exiles from the mainland. Time flows rather differently here. Weather is the ruler.

These tiny buildings are created specifically for the environment that they are in. Every design decision has been made to either enhance the experience of the surroundings or shield from it. The purpose of the cabins is to let the people staying in them come close to nature but in a comfortable way.
