in the thai capital of bangkok, on the paper studio has realized a new multi-purpose building. containing office space and a yoga studio, the recently completed complex was inspired by elements of classical architecture to create a simple and elegant design.

the building covers a total area of 3229 ft2 (300 m2). positioned on a prominent corner site, the three-story volume is set back from the street to afford an element of privacy towards the front elevation and space for a garden at the rear of the first floor. a veranda extends out across the entrance and over the small garden, providing much-needed shading from the hot bangkok sun.
the program of the building is divided logically according to the required functions. on the first floor is a small kitchen and a bright and open living area for workers to enjoy. on the first floor is the office, while on the top level is a yoga studio.
the interior is designed to be light, bright and airy on all three levels. to achieve this, the first floor includes large glazing that opens out to the garden and brings natural light deep into the plan. the second floor also integrates big windows, and the yoga studio has a large open-air void that brings in soft, diffused light from above.
the façade is formed in white precast concrete, the symmetry and uniformity of which brings a simple formality to the building. the heaviness of the material also creates an aspect of introversion, further cementing the private nature of the building.
