Mashup is all about transparency. First, there’s the spot: Empty commercial premises on the ground floor of the Nantes Design School, double height and four sides glazed. Then there’s the program: An insertion restaurant, bar, micro-brewery driven by Tête Haute, and insertion brewery that we don’t need to present anymore in Nantes.

Located in the bustling heart of Saigon, our newly designed restaurant-club captures the essence of Nikkei cuisine through a unique architectural approach. The space is a bold combination of cultural richness with avant-garde design, creating a truly immersive experience for the diners.

Nestled within the floating art installation Salmon Eye and framed by the majestic Hardangerfjord in Norway, the Michelin-starred Restaurant Iris invites guests into a world of sustainable gourmet excellence. The restaurant’s interior, crafted by Norm Architects, masterfully contrasts and complements the innovative, ellipsoid architecture designed by Kvorning Design. The seamless blend of bespoke furniture, soft lighting, and natural materials creates a warm, intimate atmosphere amidst the striking steel curves of the building. Upon arriving at Restaurant Iris after an unforgettable boat journey, guests can indulge in a set tasting menu that emphasizes sustainability, local ingredients, and the vibrant life beneath the sea. The underlying storyline: Decoding Modern India – A time-honored culinary tradition, Indian cuisine is a gateway to a multitude of experiences. Traditionally, food was not just for sustenance but was a means of hospitality and historical influences. Decoding the craft that went behind, the ability to blend the flavors harmoniously and celebrate the diversity, we crafted narrative-weaving stories that aimed to be a testament to this enchanting power. The elements that became part of the narrative reflected the intricate artistry and cultural richness.

YOKOSAWA CAMPUS is a co-working space located in the Hizume shopping street in Shiwa-cho, Shiwagun, Iwate Prefecture. One part of the space has been renovated into a café.

Overview – Studio Saxe was commissioned to design a restaurant and yoga pavilion for Hotel Aguas Claras, an eclectic retreat nestled along the serene shores of Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica. The project enhances the hotel’s distinctive character, which embodies both artistic vision and architectural creativity. More than just a boutique hotel, Aguas Claras serves as a living gallery, showcasing the lifework of renowned Costa Rican artist Elizabeth Steinvorth. The result is a harmonious blend of traditional and contemporary design, creating a unique sanctuary where art, nature, and architecture come together.

At “Mix,” we have preserved the full canopy of trees surrounding the site, allowing them to become integral elements of the space. These majestic trees serve as living pillars, supporting fabric canopies that gently ripple in the breeze, providing shade and filtering light to create a serene and atmospheric environment. This project is not just about creative design but also about honoring and coexisting with nature. Rather than clearing the site, we meticulously adapted the architecture to embrace the existing trees.
